A micro endoscopic cervical discectomy is a surgical procedure to relieve neck and arm pain caused by degenerative discs pressing on nerve roots.
This minimally invasive procedure begins with a guide wire being inserted into a small incision. Using a portable X-ray machine, the surgeon positions the wire in the correct location to reach the herniated disc. He will clear away bone and soft tissue while removing the herniated portion of the damaged disc, allowing the nerve to move back to its normal position.
We perform this treatment as an outpatient procedure. Patients are usually able to return home the same day.
